Dr. Christine Gasperetti discusses cardiac catheterization during Deborah’s first Cardiovascular Symposium: Her Story.
Two recent events showcased Deborah Heart and Lung Center as a premier institution not just for cardiac care, but also for continuing medical education. Several hundred healthcare practitioners from across the region attended the second annual Emerging Heart Failure Therapy and the first annual Cardiovascular Symposium: Her Story.
|
Emerging Heart Failure Therapy focused on new developments in the diagnosis, management and treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF), featuring Deborah physicians as well as guest faculty. Topics discussed include Atrial Fibrillation and CHF, Outpatient Management of CHF, and surgical and electrophysiological treatments for CHF.
Cardiovascular Symposium: Her Story one of the first programs of its kind in the area was devoted to diagnosis, management and treatment of heart conditions in women. Lectures offered perspectives on multiple diseases, including CHF, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and more, as well as the range of modalities used to diagnose and treat these conditions in women.
These dynamic programs attracted over 200 area practitioners each (nearly 500 in all!), demonstrating not just the critical need for education in these rapidly growing specialty fields, but also that neighboring practices and practitioners are looking to Deborah for guidance and education.
