Sea Isle Walk/Run Raises Money for Deborah Hospital Foundation

Benefit in Memory of Michael Fisher

DENNISVILLE, NJ (December 1, 2011) – The Nees Family of Dennisville recently presented a check for over $8,000 to the Deborah Hospital Foundation in Browns Mills, in support of Deborah Heart and Lung Center. The money was raised in September after a 5K run and 1-1/2 mile walk by 160 participants in memory of Michael Fisher.

Fifteen-year-old Michael passed away suddenly a year ago, while playing his favorite sport, hockey. His death was caused by a heart defect -- subaortic membrane. In order to honor Michael’s memory, his parents formed the Michael Fisher Foundation and plans on hosting an annual Walk/Run in Sea Isle City on the promenade during Irish Festival Week.
